1999-born Defenseman Matt Slick becomes Cyclones first NCDC Tender!

January 4th - The Northern Cyclones are happy to announce the signing of the program’s first tender, Matt Slick. Slick is an Andover, New Hampshire native and will be a strong defense force for our NCDC team during the 2017-2018

Slick is currently a senior playing for Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire. Slick has played in a total of 19 games gaining 2 goals and 13 assists. While being a strong defensive force for the Hornet’s he also has taken on the role of team captain. That being said we are happy to gain a player with strong leadership skills that will make an impact right away.

Head Coach Bill Flanagan said, “Slick is a big strong kid who defends very well and also has the ability to run the power play. He has a heavy shot and above average feet. We are excited to have him as our first tender in organization history.”

Matt Slick seems to be very excited about his new opportunity with the Cyclones. “I am very happy to officially sign with the Cyclones. I feel very comfortable with the coaching staff and their plans for the next season. I also feel I have a great opportunity to develop my game under Coach Flanagan. The facilities are second to none and I’m really looking forward to getting started with the team,” said Slick.

The National Collegiate Conference has given players like Slick a chance to play in a tuition-free junior league. With our top notch training facility, the USPHL’s elite competition, and exposure we are giving our players the best opportunity to develop and prepare them for the next level.
