The 2017-2018 season has not yet begun, but several teams are already carving a path through the off-season with intensive training camps, player acquisitions, and strategy sessions.
While most of the USPHL action happens on the ice, some of the best highlights have been in the digital arena. With last season’s creation of the USPHL’s “Social Media Team of the Year” award, teams all across the league are making sure that every last Twitter character is being used to the fullest extent.
Competition was fierce last year, but this year, The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs have already jumped out to an early lead.
The Monarchs twitter account seemingly never sleeps; responding and tweeting at all hours of the day. While they have already been involved in a few “back and forth” conversations, the Monarchs keep the discussion civil, respectful, and fun.
The Monarchs benefit from having a loyal and engaged fan base that joins in on almost every tweet. Though the Monarchs have an early lead, there is still an entire season’s worth of great USPHL hockey ahead, and plenty of time for other teams to get into the social media action.
