NCDC Players of the Week

In our NCDC division our top leaders come from the Boston Bandits and Islanders organizations.  Here is a bit more about our winners-

Top Forward of the Week – #7 Josh Vertentes, Boston Bandits

Rehoboth, MA native Josh Vertentes tallied 6 points over the weekend against the NJ Hitmen to take his season total to an NCDC leading 14 points. Vertentes was picked up during training camp by the Boston Bandits and has certainly delivered thus far for the squad. Last season, with the Jr Bruins USPHL 18U team, Vertentes led the league with 25 goals. In Captain Logan Drevitch's absence, Josh has emerged as a team leader and true playmaker.

Top Goalie of the Week - #31 Justin Ferguson, Islanders Hockey Club

Justin Ferguson, Dartmouth College 2018, hails from Hudson, NH.  Justin is in his second year with Coach Tremblay, leading the IHC to a Dineen Cup last season and looking to do the same in 2018.  He is the early season favorite for NCDC Goaltender of the Year.  "I've had over 15 Division One goalies in my tenure and I feel Justin will end up being the best one I've ever coached, which says a lot about this young man," commented GM/Head Coach Sean Tremblay.

Keep up the great work guys!  Stay tuned to next Wednesday when we release next week’s top NCDC players!
