The Junior Bruins have released their NCDC spring and summer schedule for players interested in joining the B’s junior program for the 2018-19 season.
April 14th- 15th 2018 NCDC Open Camp, open to all players born between 1998 – 2002. This is for any player interested in joining our NCDC, Premier or Elite team. It is also open to players who may have missed our full season 18U or 16U midget evaluations and would like to be considered for one of those teams. All sessions will be at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, MA. To register click here. For more information on our camp as well as other camps and tournaments offered this offseason please visit our website at www.bostonjuniorbruins.com.
July 17th-19th 2018 NCDC Main Camp, open only to invited players born between 1998 – 2002. If you’re interested in joining us at our main camp please contact our head coach and general manager Mike Anderson for more information. Our 2017 main camp sold out and garnered participation from over 25 committed NCAA Division I players and was very well scouted by coaches from Hockey East, ECAC, Atlantic Hockey and NCAA Division III. We anticipate another great camp this summer. 21 of the 23 players to make the Bruins final NCDC roster competed in our camp.
In addition to our NCDC camps the Bruins will enter teams in both the USPHL Spring (May 11th-13th, 2018) and USPHL Summer (July 20th-22nd) events held at the New England Sports Center. Interested players should contact Mike Anderson for registration information.
In the NCDC’s first season as a tuition-free division of the USPHL the Junior Bruins have enjoyed continued success. The team’s current roster is made up of 10 NCAA Division I committed players and 2 Division III committed players. The Bruins hold a 25-6-0-2 record within the league, good for 2nd place. The B’s have 4 of their remaining 17 league games left against their division rivals from Merrimack so there will be some exciting games affecting the top of standings as we head into the final few months. Head coach Mike Anderson feels at seasons end that he has a 12-13 Division I player group and 17-18 college commitments overall. “We’re close on a few of our high end uncommitted players and I’m confident that they’re best hockey is ahead of them in these next few weeks and we’ll see the commitments follow close behind. A few of our ‘97’s are sorting thru options at the Division III level and we’re excited to see those decisions get made soon as well. We have a relatively young team and these last couple of months we’re confident those players are going to continue to develop into impact players for our team’.
