FRASER, Mich – March 13, 2017 – The Motor City Hawks 2016-17 campaign may have ended on a disappointing note in the second round of the USP3 playoffs, but that didn’t stop two of its highest scoring players in team history from moving on to college hockey. Forwards Trevor Pode and Justin Session have signed commitments to play for Rochester College and Adrian College’s ACHA Division One teams respectively in the 2017-18 school year.  Both teams are currently ranked in the Top 25 nationally.

 

Motor City Haws Advance to Second Round of USP3 Playoffs

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich., March 1 2017 –  For the first time since its inaugural season, the Motor City Hawks have earned a spot in the second round of the playoffs after a tough two-game sweep of Kalkaska last weekend at McCann Arena.  The Hawks will now travel to Decatur, IL to take on the Blaze beginning Friday, March 3.

DETROIT, MICH - FEBRUARY 18, 2017 - Motor City Hawks head coach Jason McCrimmon was recognized by the Detroit Red Wings for his work with inner-city kids and was given the honor of the ceremonial puck drop before the Wings' game against the Washington Capitols on Saturday afternoon.

Grosse Pointe, MICH – February 4, 2017  – There’s something to be said about putting things together at the right time and that appears to be the case for the Motor City Hawks whose injury marred up and down season has been righted with a full squad and four wins in their last five (the only loss in overtime) and a weekend sweep of rival Alpena.

Motor City Hawks Earns Three Points at Traverse City

Traverse City, MICH – January 28, 2017 -- It only took close to three full seasons, but the Hawks finally found the formula to beat perennial league champ Traverse City in regulation and left Northern Michigan with 3 big points this weekend after a 5-2 Saturday win and a 3-2 overtime loss on Friday at Centre Ice.
