Congratulations to this week’s NCDC Players Of The Week, looking back on the last 10 days of action! 

 

Forward: Krystof Stuchlik, New Jersey Hitmen.

Stuchlik (‘98/Krno, Czech Republic) scored two goals and two assists for four points on the weekend. He posted two assists in the Hitmen’s 5-2 win on Saturday, and then scored both goals Sunday in a 2-0 victory. Overall, he has 17 points in 32 NCDC games this season. 

 

Defense: Ole Andersen, Connecticut Jr. Rangers. 

Andersen (‘99/Hamar, Norway) had two goals and three assists over his last week of action. 

“Ole has been improving steadily throughout the year. He had a good start to the week with a very visible Wednesday game where he possessed the puck,” said head coach Jim Henkel. 

On March 1, he posted two goals and an assist, including a third period power play goal to put the Rangers up 2-1, and he also had the OT game-winner. 

He finished the weekend with an assist against the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders on Saturday. 

 

Goal: Tie - Jake Begley, New Jersey Hitmen; Tate Brandon, Connecticut Jr. Rangers. 

Begley (‘99/Lake Forest, Ill.) went 2-0 with 51 saves to register back-to-back victories against New Jersey. He is 6-0 since joining the Hitmen this winter, posting a 1.67 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. 

Brandon (‘00/Irvington, N.Y.) went 2-0 on the week, including a 3-2 overtime win against Syracuse, where he made 35 saves on 37 shots. He made another 36 in the team’s 7-4 win over P.A.L. on Saturday, facing 40 shots on the night. 

He has a 2.97 goals against average and a .919 save percentage through his nine games this season.
