The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is proud to announce that the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) is partnering with the video and statistical analytics company InStat for the 2019-20 season.
InStat is an industry leader in hockey analytics providing coaching staffs a detailed player and team breakdown of games.
The InStat technology provides a complete measure of each player’s performance. Examples of the hockey metrics identified and measured include shots (accuracy, location and per period breakdowns), challenges, passes, faceoffs, puck possession, hits, and time on ice.
“InStat video and analytics is a valuable tool for coaches, as it provides an in-depth look at the statistical details of the game,” said NCDC Commissioner Dave Peters. “It helps coaches evaluate players and team performance. Many of our teams used InStat this season and now all of our teams will benefit by receiving analytics and video breakdowns within hours of the completion of games.
“Coaches will be able to provide video and analytics to our players to help in their development by sitting down with players for one-on-one sessions or simply e-mailing each player their shifts,” Peters added. “Coaches can also e-mail these videos to college coaches and recruiters, as well as use the video and analytics to scout opponents.”
You can find on InStat’s website, InStatSport.com, sample game and player reports that were generated from games in the Russian Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
“This will really help coaching staffs with player development, and help the players get an enhanced picture of their strengths and weaknesses on the ice,” added Peters.
