The United States Premier Hockey League is proud to announce it has completed its annual Draft for the tuition-free National Collegiate Development Conference on May 15, 2019.

The Draft is one of many ways in which a prospective player can join an NCDC team.
The USPHL is The Nation's Largest Amateur Hockey Organization, with teams and leagues from Mite through Junior, with the NCDC being its top level.
In 2018-19 alone, there were more than 1,100 alumni playing college hockey, and more than a dozen active NHL players, including several who were setting records and making impacts in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Guide To The NCDC Draft
Date: May 15, 2019 - the NCDC Draft is held annually on the first Wednesday in May following the USPHL Spring Showcase, which runs May 10-12, 2019, in Marlborough, Mass.
Players Eligible: Players born in the years 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 that are not already USPHL organizational assets.
Players cannot register for the Draft - teams will draft players that they or their staff have scouted throughout the season.
Format: There are 12 Rounds in the NCDC Draft.
The NCDC Entry Draft will consist of 12 rounds. If a team reaches 40 protected players during the course of the NCDC Entry Draft it will be not allowed more picks. 40 protected player list includes (returning NCDC players + Organizational Assets who signed a JPA prior to May 1 + USPHL Entry Draft picks + current season Tendered Players).
Order: New USPHL member teams go first. Then it’s the last place in the 2018-19 Division standings through first place. This order will repeat each round.
Tryouts: Tendered or Drafted players are not eligible to try out for other NCDC teams.
All Tendered and Drafted players are eligible to try out for any team in any league other than the NCDC in the U.S. and Canada.
Players not drafted but who still want to play in the NCDC are encouraged to attend individual teams’ Tryout Camps.
Results: The results of the NCDC Draft will be published alphabetically under the team that selected them upon completion of the Draft.
Tenders: Tender signings will not be posted online. Teams may make their tender signings public, but are not required to do so.
Additional Dates Of Importance:
Aug. 1 - NCDC Protected Lists must be reduced from 40 to 30.
Sept. 12 - NCDC Protected Lists must be reduced from 30 to 23.
