The Wisconsin Dells Ducks, proud members of the USPHL, are pleased to announce that forward Gio Mueller has committed to play college hockey at Northern Michigan University.

The 5’11/170 lbs. native of Beaver Dam Wisconsin came to the Dells Ducks after a successful senior season at Beaver Dam High School.

Mueller 19, established himself as one of the most hard working, hard hitting forwards in the USPHL. During the 2018-19 season, he recorded 5 goals and 9 assists in the regular season games.

Gio’s work ethic and his team first mentality made him a joy to coach, “said Ducks head coach Jeff Worlton. “ He was also a hardworking, tough player who had zero coerces about putting his body on the line for the team, blocking shots, making a big hit or being one of the best penalty killers in the league Gio was always putting the Ducks first.”

“Playing in the Dells the past two years was one of the best choices I made for hockey and my future.  I want to thank coach Jeff Worlton and Jack Winger for pushing me to be the best on and off the ice.  I also want to thank my teammates for their hard work, my billet family’s and my stepmom and dad for helping me live my dream.”

Mueller becomes the third Ducks player this off-season to make a college commitment, he will be joining Emil Norrman (Buffalo State) and Brayden Copper (NIU)
