Rum River Mallards forward Griffin commits to Vikes

The University of Victoria Vikes hockey club is happy to announce the signing of forward Caleb Griffin of the Rum River Mallards of the USPHL Premier League.

Griffin a native of Regina SK played his minor hockey in Regina before going to Swift Current to play AAA Midget for the Swift Current Legionnaires.


For the past two seasons Griffin has played in the USPHL Premier League, playing for the Ironwood Fighting Yoopers and the Rum River Mallards where he scored 61 goals and 71 assists for a total of 132 points in 79 games

During the 2016/2017 season Caleb played for the Victoria Cougars and the Oceanside Generals of the VIJHL scoring 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 44 games.

Griffin is entering the Computer Sciences program and explains why he chose UVic. “I choose UVic because it’s an excellent school to study Computer Sciences, where I can excel academically, and it offers a hockey program second to none where I can continue to compete at a high level.”
