Anthony Weinrich Returns To Cherokee (Forward Will Wear ‘C’ For The Tribe This Year)

Toledo Ohio:      The Toledo Cherokee proud members of the USPHL Premier (Great Lakes Conference) are excited to announce that Anthony Weinrich will return for his final season of junior eligibility. 

 

The Toledo OH native, has spent the last three seasons in a Cherokee uniform where he has suited up in a total of 130 games scoring 27 goals while adding 50 assists for 77 points. The 6’4’’ 220 pound forward has 152 total penalty minutes during his time with the Cherokee.

 

“Anthony is a guy we wanted to get back for another season and watch him finish his junior career as a member of the Cherokee. He is a big guy that has tons of skill and we expect him to have a great season for us.” Said head coach Kenny Miller

 

Coach Miller also announced Weinrich will be the team captain this season taking over for Spencer Sandberg who will be playing college hockey at Davenport University. “Anthony was an assistant captain the last two years and he knows what it takes to be a leader, he is comfortable with the coaching staff and knows how we do things here in Toledo.” Added Miller
