Toledo Ohio: The Toledo Cherokee proud members of the USPHL Premier (Great Lakes Conference) are excited to announce the signing of first year forward Jake Ruehle for the 2019-2020 season.
The Sylvania OH native spent last season with the Northview Wildcats High School team. In thirty-four games he tallied fourteen goals while adding ten assists for a total of twenty-four points. Ruehle was also a member of the team that made it the OHSAA State Championship game with fellow Cherokee teammates Devon Dohanos and Tyler Fredrick.
"Jake is a kid with good size that likes to play a physical game, he is a versatile that can play either forward or defense." Said head coach Kenny Miller "We expect him to play the forward position and make an impact for us as a first year player."
Ruehle joins, Dohanos, Fredrick, Paavo Sammalisto, Reese Boehme, Zeth Stelmaszak, Bailey Byrd, Justin Maroszek, Bryce Davis, Mason Snyder and Anthony Weinrich as players committed to the Cherokee for the 2019-2020 season. Please check the Cherokee website for more player signings.
Jake's step-brother Nick Foti was a member of the Toledo Cherokee during the 2013-14 season.
