Brendan Hull to Return to Irish for 2019-2020 Season

Veteran Defenceman preparing to take on leadership Role

 

The Detroit Fighting Irish announced today that veteran defenceman Brendan Hull will be returning to the Irish for the 2019-2020 Season marking Hull's 3rd season with the Irish. Hull from Grosse Pointe Michigan and is the son of Tim and Carrie Hull he is 2017 Graduate from Grosse Pointe North High School. Brendan played the 2016-2017 season with the Irish and then returned to the Irish last season to play the 2nd half of the season for the Green and Gold. Brendan is a player whom has exceptional hands and the ability to create offense and from small spaces, he uses his strong puck handling skills and stick skills defensively as well as offensively which makes him a valuable asset to our team during any situation stated GM Dan Vasquez. We are looking for Brendan to be a big part of our team leadership, in my short interactions with him it is clear that he is very respected by his team mates and the previous coaching staff and ownership of our organization. "He is putting in the time to get himself prepared for this season and I look forward to his veteran leadership while we reshape the culture of our team." stated head coach Dave Taylor  

The Detroit Fighting Irish are currently holding open skates on Tuesday Nights at the Brownstown Sports Center and will be holding open tryouts for the 2019-2020 season August 15 thru August 18th for more information on the Irish go to the team's website at
