Brownstown, MI. The Detroit Fighting Irish announced tonight that Brendan Higgins will play for the Irish for the 2019-2020 season. The 2000 Forward from South Rockwood Michigan played the 2018-2019 Season with the El Paso Rhinos of the WSHL and with DME Academy he is a 2018 graduate of Airport High School where he was a team mate of Clay Hightower whom has also signed with the Irish and veteran forward Ethan Cagle.
The Chemistry and speed of Higgins and Hightower is a real compliment to the offensive system that Coaches Dave Taylor and Dennis Boomer have in design for this years Fighting Irish team. And early signs indicate that the right 3rd forward with these two will produce an explosive force that will put opposition defences on high alert.
Brendan is a player we have know for a while and our organization has been working to get him into an Irish sweater since his Junior Year in High School we are excited that another hometown, homegrown player is returning to the area to allow our fans, his community and his parents share in watching him develop into a collegiate athlete shared DFI Coach Dennis Boomer
