Forward Of the Month: Jason Lastra, Rockets Hockey Club
This ‘00 from Rutheford, N.J., only took six games to do what he did over the course of 16 in 2018-19, offensively-speaking. This included four points in his final two games at the USPHL South Showcase in Chesapeake, Va.
His fourth goal, scored on Sept. 30, helped the Rockets defeat the Tampa Bay Juniors for a win to close out the showcase.
Ryan Andrews, Jersey Hitmen
Dylan Hernandez-Ramirez, Boston Bandits
Defenseman Of The Month: Brandon Troyer, Boston Bandits
Troyer (‘01/Chesterfield, Mich.) jumped right into the junior hockey fray, scoring two goals - one a game-winner - and two assists in his first four games. In addition to that accomplishment, he helped the Bandits to a 2-0-1-1 start, and the team had given up just over 2 goals per game on average in September.
Hunter Meyer, Northern Cyclones
Trace Cowart, Jersey Hitmen
Goaltender Of The Month: Dane Beltramini, Jersey Hitmen
The Hitmen have picked up some nice early victories, and also had their struggles in a few games at the USPHL South Showcase. Through all of these ups and downs, Beltramini (‘03/Ramsey, N.J.) has been a guiding light. Entering October, he stood with a 1.90 goals against average and a .944 save percentage, making 68 saves on 72 shots.
Joshua Chausse, Boston Bandits
Joe Hughes, Rockets Hockey Club
