Congratulations to the Players Of The Week representing the USPHL Premier North Region, comprised of the New England, North East and Mid-Atlantic Divisions.
Forward: Ryan Barrett, Islanders Hockey Club
Barrett’s two goals and two assists against the Twin City Lightning helped the Islanders Hockey Club win their league-leading 11th game without any kind of loss. They remain the only completely undefeated team in the USPHL Premier.
Barrett (‘01/Wilmington, Mass.) had a three-point game on Oct. 30, and he added two more points on Nov. 6. Along with three single-point games prior to that stretch, he now has 12 points in his last six games.
Defense: Salvatore Caterina, Junior Bruins
Caterina (‘00/Cambridge, Mass.) was on fire over the first weekend of November posting one goal and five assists in a weekend sweep of the Rochester Monarchs.
Caterina, a USPHL 18U All-Star last season for the Junior Bruins, had just two points prior to this past weekend. He now has seven through 14 Premier contests.
Goaltender: Dylan Knighton, Jersey Hitmen
Knighton’s star is rising in the Premier Division. After falling in his first game (giving up just two goals in the process), Knighton - a ‘00 from Pequannock, N.J. - has gone 3-0-1 since that date, and has posted a .936 save percentage, ranking in the top five for that category for goalies with at least 240 minutes played. This past weekend, he added a 27-save victory over the rival Rockets Hockey Club for that third victory.
