Noah Leach, Palmyra Black Knights
The ‘03 from Middletown, Pa., was Mr. Offense for the Black Knights against the Islanders Hockey Club this past weekend. First, he had two goals and one assist in what ended as a shootout loss for the Black Knights. Next up, it was a four-assist effort in the 6-2 victory over the Islanders for all told seven points in two league games.
Jason Player, Philadelphia Hockey Club
Things to do: Dominate the USPHL 15U. Done and checked. Dominate the USPHL 16U. In progress.
That is what Player’s to-do list must look like by now. He just keeps on clicking for the first place Philadelphia Hockey Club in the National Division. He scored nine points in just three games. First, it was a two-assist effort in Philadelphia’s win over a Rockets Hockey Club team that was ranked No. 12 nationwide at the time. From there, it was two goals and five assists against the Utica Jr. Comets in two wins.
He now has 19 points in 10 USPHL games so far this season.
Defense: Ronan Judge, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
Judge (‘03/Point Lockout, N.J.) enjoyed a five-point day on Saturday. In two games on Nov. 23, he scored one goal and four assists. The goal and three of the assists came against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers Red team in the evening, after he registered a helper in the morning against the Jersey Shore Whalers Premier squad.
Goaltender: Ryan Burgess, Philadelphia Hockey Club
Burgess (‘03/Langhorne, Pa.) joined Player in moving up from the USPHL 15U champion PHC team to the USPHL 16U Philadelphia squad - and enjoying great success in the transition to 16U hockey.
He had two wins on the weekend, including making 28 saves on the Rockets Hockey Club for the 4-3 victory, and he made 34 saves in one of the two games against Utica. He improved to 5-2-1 on the season.
