Charleston Colonials are proud to announce that Premier Goaltender Peyton Tritz has committed to Becker College NCAA D3 hockey for next season making him the first college commitment in Colonials history! Tritz, a 19 year old Colorado born goalie, has held a staggering 2.53 goals against average and a SA % .927 on the season. “Peyton is an unbelievable goal tender and most importantly a great teammate in the locker room. We couldn’t be happier for his well deserved opportunity with Becker,” says Head coach Hunter Bishop. “This is a kid who put in all the work through this past summer and is now being rewarded for it. He has been rock solid for us all season.” Tritz has had 3 shutouts already this year with 11 games still left and accounts for 9 of the teams 15 wins placing a first year program second in the Florida division of the USPHL Premier Hockey League. Tritz on his signing, “I’m excited to play for Becker and Coach Young because of his vision for the team and the program, this is his first year coaching there and he is very enthusiastic about making it successful. I am very grateful to the Colonials for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be seen by colleges and I am so thankful to be a part of their program.
