DETROIT – Chance Culp’s goal 1:35 into overtime lifted the Motor City Hockey Club over the Detroit Fighting Irish 3-2 Wednesday night at Jack Adams Arena.
The win evened Motor City’s record in January to 2-2 and also gave the club its second straight OT win over the Irish.
Marc Alexander and Austin Ward staked Motor City to a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes, only to see Detroit score two late goals to push the game to overtime.
Kinsly Trivisonno posted two assists for Motor City and Matthew Capek picked up the win in goal.
This weekend, Motor City hosts the Chicago Cougars at the St. Clair Shores Civic Arena. Game times are Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at noon.
Motor City then turns around to host the Metro Jets Development Program on Monday at 5 p.m. from Jack Adams Arena.
On Monday, the team will also be recognizing and honoring JJ Curran Crane Company, the club's biggest supporter.
