2020 USPHL 16U American Playoffs: South Shore, CP Dynamo Earn Friday Wins

Three games in the USPHL 16U American Division playoffs took place at Bridgewater Ice Arena. There are six more to come on Saturday to decide the semifinal pairings. 

 

South Shore Kings 5, Rockets Hockey Club Grey 1 

Alex Walsh posted two goals and added one assist as the Kings posted five straight goals to defeat the Rockets in the tournament opener at Bridgewater (Mass.) Ice Arena. 

 

CP Dynamo 5, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 2

Noah Carpenter was in on all five goals, scoring two and assisting on three to help lead the Dynamo over the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders in their first game in Bridgewater. Jack Pechar also scored gone goal and added two assists. 

 

Jersey Shore Whalers 3, Springfield Pics 3

Brenden Kearney’s goal at the 8:35 mark of the third period turned out to be the equalizer as each team earned a draw in their Friday playoff opener. Justin Lidondici had a goal and an assist for the Whalers, and Carter Hanrahan, the USPHL 16U’s all-time points leader, scored two goals for the Pics.
