Motor City ends 2019-20 season in Decatur, swept by Blaze in playoffs

DECATUR, Ill. – The Motor City Hockey Club’s 2019-20 season came to an end this past weekend.

Motor City was swept in two straight games by the Decatur Blaze at the Decatur Civic Center to open the USPHL playoffs.

Friday night, Marc Alexander’s power-play goal was all Motor City could muster in a 7-1 loss.

In goal, Numa Binding made 68 saves for MCHC.

Then Saturday night, Decatur took the series with a 6-2 victory.

Alexander and Colin O’Rourke scored on the power play for Motor City, Kinsly Trivisonno assisted on both, and Binding and Matthew Capek combined to make 45 saves between the pipes.

Decatur now moves on to host the Metro Jets Development Program next weekend.
