Connecticut Jr. Rangers NCDC defenseman Robert Carr has committed to Lebanon Valley College.
The 5-foot-10-inch, 174-pound rearguard from Tappan, N.Y., scored two goals and had five assists in 13 games with the Junior Rangers this past season. His Jr. Rangers Head Coach Jim Henkel was thrilled for Carr and praised love for the game and life.
“Robert is an upbeat, enthusiastic player,” Henkel said. “[He has] an infectious personality in the locker room that draws players in. His skating and vision with the puck make him an opportunistic defenseman in today's game.
“His game will translate well to the next level because of his work ethic and vision,” added Henkel. “His love for us allowed him to develop at a higher pace. His adaptability to system changes and to identify certain areas will make the transition smooth for him.”
Carr had previously played in the USPHL Elite Division for the Rochester Monarchs in 2016-17, with an additional four games that season played for the Monarchs’ 18U team.
The 21-year-old will play with the Dutchmen this fall.
