The Springfield Pics are proud to announce that the 1999-born All-Star defensemen Josh Bliss has committed to Western New England University for the fall.
A native of West Charlton, N.Y., the 5-foot-11-inch, 21-year-old Bliss has 15 goals and 42 assists in 80 season games with the Pics organization. The Bears play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference of the NCAA Division 3.
“We are excited to have Josh join the Golden Bear family. He is an excellent person and a standout defenseman. We look forward to working with Josh, continuing his development both academically and athletically.” said Greg Heffernan, Head Coach for the Bears.
“Josh Bliss has been a leader on and off the ice, and players have learned from his example” said Pics Premier Head Coach and General Manager Rob Bonneau. “He is a key player on our team. He constantly improves from day to day, and we look forward to seeing him play at the Olympia for Western New England University.”
