Toledo OH:         The Toledo Cherokee of the USPHL Premier division of the Great Lakes Conference are proud to announce that Kieran O'Connell has committed to the University of Michigan Dearborn to suit up for the Wolverines.

The Allen Park MI native spent two seasons with the Cherokee suiting up in a total eighty-five games scoring seven goals and adding thirty-three assists for forty points. He also had four game winning goals during his time with the Cherokee.

"Kieran played a huge role in helping turn this program around in two seasons, he was a guy that logged a lot of minutes for us and we are going to miss him on our blue-line." Said head coach Kenny Miller

The Wolverines compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference ACHA DI and have several USPHL alumni on the roster. O'Connell joins teammate Blake Petterle on campus next season.

"I am very happy for OC and his family; he is a great kid that will do great things in life after hockey." Added Miller

Kieran joins Petterle, Matt Gilbert (Anna Maria College) and Reese Boehme (Trine University) as players that have committed to college for next season from the 2019-2020 roster.
