The Detroit Fighting Irish USPHL Premier  announced today that 2002 Forward/Defenseman  Christopher Hawkins will play for the Irish for the 2020-2021 season. The 5'6 speedster is from Muskegon Michigan and played for Reeths Puffer High School. He joins former Reeths Puffer team mate and Detroit Fighting Irish goaltender Derek Antol Jr on the Irish roster. "Chris is going to be a great addition to our line up  and comes to the Irish as a result of some great work by our West Michigan scouting staff.  another Muskegon local Jager Kelly also recently signed to play with the Irish. "Hawkins is a no nonsense player whom works hard has great speed and will fit right into our line up. We know we can count on players whom will bring a hard hat work ethic which has always been a characteristic of Muskegon area players.

During a recent meeting with Hawkins GM Dan Vasquez reported that Chris is equally as excited to get his Junior career underway as part of the Irish and is going to spend the rest of the summer under the tutelage of the  team's nutrition and training staff to get ready for the late summer camps I expect him to be ready to step in and be a contributor.
