DECATUR, Ill. – The Decatur Blaze, proud member of the United States Premier Hockey League, today announced the signing of forward Christian Latkovich for the 2020-21 USPHL season.

Latkovich, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound native of Manorville, Long Island, N.Y., who has been skating since the age of 4, comes to the Blaze from the ESM Sharks.

“I am so excited by the opportunity to sign with the Decatur Blaze,” said Latkovich.  “I know with hard work and extreme effort I will benefit from the excellent coaching of the Blaze."

Blaze coach/GM Zac Pearson agrees.

“My staff and I look forward to working with Christian in his development, both on and off the ice," Pearson said.

Overall, Latkovich is thrilled to be heading to Decatur and the USPHL.

“On Long Island, the rinks are far away, and I am very grateful to play with this team and to train every day," he said. "I know this is going to make me a better hockey player and person.

"Thank you so much for giving me this chance.”
