Toledo Ohio: The Toledo Cherokee proud members of the USPHL Premier (Great Lakes Conference) are excited to announce the return of forward Bailey Byrd for the 2020-2021 season.
The Wyandotte MI native appeared in all forty-four games for the Cherokee last season scoring twenty-five goals and added twenty-six assists for fifty-one points. Byrd led the Cherokee in scoring last season. Byrd was selected by the Jersey Hitmen in this year's 2020 NCDC Entry Draft.
"Bailey is a very gifted offensive player and with him being a third year guy this season we expect him to really take his game to another level in all areas." said head coach Kenny Miller "He is a guy that played in every situation last year and we will continue to use him in that role this year as well."
Byrd will once again be an alternate captain for the Cherokee this year. "Bailey will be an alternate captain again this season and he will also be counted on to be one of the leaders in the dressing room this upcoming season." Added Miller
Byrd joins Tyler Fox (F), Bryce Davis (F), Caleb Williams (F), Ondrej Dupal (F), Mitchell Dickman (F), Jake Ruehle (D), Nate Brown (D), Jimmy Roberts (F), Michael Bushell (D), Carter Minch (D), Mason Snyder (G), Seth Orozco (D), Jack Lundkvist (G), Jarrett Henson (D), Dominik McNamara (D) and Christopher Strasen (G) as players committed to the Cherokee for the upcoming season.
