The Detroit Fighting Irish wrapped up prospect camp yesterday afternoon giving the Irish coaching staff a pretty good sense of the direction of what the 2020-2021 Irish squad is going look like . With a full house on the ice and with 100% of returning veterans in attendance it appeared that some pretty big decisions were being made

Yesterdays workouts begin with a very vigorous off ice testing in the weight room whee head coach Dave Taylor and Asst coach Jeremy McNulty handled the inspiration . The off ice scores were dominated by the recently signed Muskegon clan  Chris Hawkins,Jager Kelly and Matt Martin whom also impressed on the ice and earned the nicknames "West Side Mafia: over the weekend.

On the Ice Goaltending coach  Jacob Gorzelski with his assistant Koe Kebbe and team Player personnel director Sam Shaheen put the goalies though a rigorous on ice and evaluation session  Caleb Swanson whom traveled from Phoenix Az for the camp stated he was impressed with the amount of time that was devoted to goaltenders over the two day camp

In the 2nd session of the Day Coach Dave Taylor and Shaheen conducted practice sessions that emphasized game situation and individual development drills. GM Dan Vasquez and assistant coaches McNulty, Boomer and team scout Dere Antol handled the evaluations as several player whom were not in cam on Day 1  were on the ice/

In the afternoon session  assistant coach  Dennis Boomer and Jeremy McNulty put the players through a lite workout and the group than met with coaching staff to discuss the team's nutrition and strength conditioning program. The final session of the weekend proved to be the most exciting as all of the participants were part of a progressive scrimmage that begin as a 3-3 than 4-4 than 5-5. The tempo was  quick and the entire staff was equally impressed at the tempo and speed of the play
