NCDC Players Of The Week: Oct. 15, 2020

By USPHL Staff, 10/15/20, 9:30AM EDT

Forward: Eric Brown, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs

With a heavy heart following the death of late Monarchs NCDC Head Coach Ryan Frew just four days earlier, the veteran Brown (‘00/St. Louis, Mo.) went out with the “Win One For Frew” motto in mind and scored two goals and added one assist in a 5-1 season-opening victory for the Monarchs over the Northern Cyclones.

Defense: Sean Melso, Jersey Hitmen

In a clash of perennial Dineen Cup contenders, Melso (‘02/Philadelphia, Pa.) posted a goal and an assist to help the Hitmen to a 6-2 victory over the Islanders Hockey Club.

Goaltender: Connor Bradford, Boston Advantage

Bradford (‘02/Kingston, Mass.) is a career Advantage player with a long resume of AAA and Tier-2 hockey with the organization. In his - and the Advantage’s - very first NCDC game, he stopped all 35 shots put on him by the Twin City Thunder to register a shutout win, becoming the 10th NCDC goalie to begin their career in the league with a shutout.
