Hub City Tampa Day 5: Kings, Islanders Win Late Night OT Games

In two NCDC nightcaps, both went to overtime. It was just that kind of Sunday when the teams were ready to roll from the start. 

NCDC

P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 2, Twin City Thunder 0

A.J. Ruskowski stopped all 25 shots he faced at Lakeland Ice Arena, and UVM commit Phip Waugh scored a point shot for the game-winner. 

 

Islanders Hockey Club 3, Jersey Hitmen 2 (OT)

University of New Hampshire recruit Cy LeClerc scored a pair including the game-winner, after the Hitmen scored to force the OT with just 27 seconds remaining off a Luke Aquaro goal. 

 

South Shore Kings 3, Boston Junior Bruins 2

Ryan Bottrill scored the overtime game-winner to give the Kings their fifth "W" in a row (including an exhibition win over the PWHPA All-Stars). 

 

USPHL Premier

Florida Eels vs. Jersey Hitmen

The Eels scored a decisive victory, which saw a four-goal game from Nikita Pinimyasov and a 1-4-5 line by T.J. Zebley. 

 

USPHL Elite

Florida Eels 3, Jersey Hitmen 0

Jacob Mork stopped all 33 shots he faced, and Kaleb Harrop scored the game-winner.
