Blaze suffer two-game home sweep at hands of Chicago; Blackbirds up next

DECATUR, Ill. - The Decatur Blaze returned home this past weekend, but suffered two straight 6-2 losses to the Chicago Cougars at the Decatur Civic Center.

 

Friday night, Thomas LaForge and Dominick Didzerekis scored and Tanner Rusnak made 45 saves in goal.

 

Then Saturday evening, LaForge and Justin Reddy tallied goals and Rusnak finished with 42 stops between the pipes.

 

The Blaze play three with the Midwest Blackbirds this weekend, starting in Dyer, Ind., at the Midwest Training and Ice Center Friday at 6:55 p.m. and wrapping up Saturday (7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (12:15 p.m.) back at the Decatur Civic Center.
