Premier Players Of The Week: Midwest Region (Games of Feb. 10-18)

Great Lakes Division



Caleb Williams, Toledo Cherokee

Williams (‘00/Genoa, Ohio ) played just once on the weekend, but that was enough to add five assists to his season total, against the Motor City Hockey Club. Williams has 24 assists this season including 10 in his past three games.




Jack Mueller, Metro Jets 

Mueller (‘00/Sandusky, Ohio) played a big part in the offense in a three-game week for the Jets, all against the Lake Erie Bighorns. After scoring the game winner earlier in the week, Mueller chipped in four assists on the weekend two wrap up a six-point week.




Alex Toth, Columbus Mavericks 

Toth (‘01/Mentor, Ohio) returned from a month-long layoff and shook the rust off quick, turning aside all 23 shots he faced for a shutout win against the Wooster Oilers.



Midwest East Division




Logan Robins, Fort Wayne Spacemen

Robins (‘02/Livonia, Mich. ) picked up three goals and six points in three games against the Midwest Blackbirds, collecting at least a point in all three games – all wins -- and firing the game winner in the opening game.




Noe Perez, Fort Wayne Spacemen

Perez (‘02/Weston, Wis.) had a big offensive weekend,

stepping up with three goals and four assists in three games against the Midwest Blackbirds, running his

current points streak to six games in a row.




Daniel McCarthy, Detroit Fighting Irish 

McCarthy (‘00/New Port Richey, Fla.) wrapped up play at the Hub with a pair of starts on the weekend, winning one and stopping 70 of 76 shots against.


Midwest West Division



Trey Zagrzebski, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings

Zagrzebski (‘03/Stevens Point, Wis. ) played a big part in a three-win weekend for the Riverkings, totalling six goals and three assists and picking up points in all three games, highlighted by a four-goal effort against Rochester Vipers on Sunday.




Jake Jakusz, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings

Jakusz (‘02/Weston, Wis.) picked up three goals and five points in the weekend finale for the Riverkings against Rochester Vipers. Jake Jakusz had hit the five-point mark twice this month for the Riverkings.




Vinny Castelletti, Minnesota Blue Ox 

Castelletti (‘02/Atlanta, Ga.) played three times for the Blue Ox on the weekend, winning a pair against the Mullets and taking the Hudson Havoc to the wire before surrendering a 2-1 decision. In all, Castelletti posted a save percentage of .942 and boosted his overall season record to 16-7.
