  RVA Generals Forward Carter Jordan ( 6'0 200 Center Rs 01 ) commits to Wilkes University. The Colonels play at the NCAA Division 3 level of play in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). 

   Carter Jordan played for the Richmond Generals USPHL Premier team this year appearing in 40 regular season games scoring 15 goals and adding 15 assists for 30 points with 10 PPG and 92 PIM. Jordan also appeared in 3 Playoff games for the Generals adding 1 assist for 1 point with 4 PIM.  Carter won the Generals Team Award for "Hustle Hard" and "Rookie of the Year" which was selected by his teammates for his performance during the season. 

   Jordan on playing for the Generals, " I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to play NCAA Division 3 hockey at Wilkes University! I cannot thank my coaches and family for pushing me everyday to become a better player and person. From an early age my parents have always taught the importance of hard work and dedication to anything I do. I want to thank them for teaching me life lessons and giving me the opportunity to do what I love. I would like to thank all the coaches at Northern Colorado Youth Hockey, especially Rhett Gordon,for teaching me the key fundamentals and helping me create a love for the game of hockey. I also want to thank Coach Doug Smail and Coach Greg Vanover with the Rocky Mountain Roughriders for giving me the tools to develop into the player and man I am today. They all helped solidify a foundation to build off of coming into my rookie season with the Richmond Generals. I want to thank Coach Lyke for helping me strive to reach the next level as I play Junior hockey this year. His coaching along with a great set of assistant coaches and teammates have really helped me grow as a hockey player and person. For every teammate along the way , thank you for being part of this journey with me!

   Coach Hynes on Jordan, " We are thrilled about Carter's decision to attend Wilkes University. Carter is a high character leader who we feel will embrace and enhance our culture. Coach Lyke is a trusted resource with a proven track record of developing high end collegiate talent. We feel Carter will bring a unique blend of toughness and skill to our lineup. "

   Carter becomes the 11th current or former Generals Player to commit to a College hockey program for next year. Houk joins Matt Wood ( Utica College NCAA Division 3 ) , Brennan Luckanish ( Arcadia NCAA Division 3 ), Nathan Solis ( St. Mary's University NCAA Division 3 ), Mike Krupinski ( UMass Boston NCAA Division 3 ), Anthony Morin ( Buffalo State  NCAA Division 3 ), Hayden Clark ( UW- Stout NCAA Division 3 ), Jake Burke ( Ohio University ACHA Division 1 ), Ryan Murphy ( William Paterson University ACHA Division 1 ), Will Grupp ( George Mason University ACHA Division 1 ), Carter McCormack ( West Chester University ACHA Division 1 ).
