The Toledo Cherokee of the USPHL Premier Division and the Great Lakes Conference is proud to announce that Tim Organ will attend and play hockey at Trine University. The Cherokee defensemen will join the NCAA Division III team next season.
The 20-year-old joined the Cherokee during this season and skated in 28 games, scoring 10 goals and assisting on 28 for 38 points. Organ suited up in five playoff games and had five assists.
"Timmy came back to us in the middle of the season and when he came in, he made an immediate impact on our blue line. He is a guy that defends real well and also has great offensive ability," said head coach Kenny Miller. "He has worked hard to earn this spot and I am very happy for him and his family."
Organ joins Drew Welsch and Zeth Stelmaszak (2022) as members of the 2020-2021 Cherokee to commit to Trine University.
Trine University's NCAA DIII team competes in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association and is located in Angola, Indiana. The university features a brand new state of the art ice arena on campus.
