2021 USPHL Summer Showcase Set For July 16-18 At Multiple New England Locations

By USPHL Staff, 07/14/21, 5:15PM EDT

The 2021 USPHL Summer Showcase is set to kick off on Friday morning, July 16, and continue through Sunday afternoon, July 18. The Showcase returns to its former tournament format, and four showcase champions will be crowned at the NCDC, Premier, 18U and 16U levels on Sunday, July 18.

The Summer Showcase continues to be a key event as teams prepare for the upcoming season and make roster decisions, so it comes as no surprise that there will be 30 teams competing in the NCDC Division, some organizations with as many as four entries.

USPHL Premier teams as well as those at the 18U and 16U levels also utilize this event as a scouting event. Twelve 18U Division teams will be joined at the Summer Showcase by 11 16U teams and nine Premier teams.

All 62 teams present this weekend will be competing at a wide array of locations albeit in a largely small area - Merrimack College’s Lawler and Gallant Arenas will be among the main rinks, along with Cyclones Arena’s and Tri-Town Ice Arena’s two rinks each. Additionally, the John J. Janas Rink in Lowell, Mass., the Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass., and Conway Arena in Nashua, N.H., will be utilized, in addition to lighter action at rinks in Walpole, Mass., and Marlboro, Mass.

At each of the four levels, the top four teams will advance to semifinals on Sunday morning, and from there, the final two teams standing will compete for the title of USPHL Summer Showcase Champions.

Scores for all games and standings for all divisions will be available shortly after the games’ conclusions on Go to and click on Schedule and Standings to follow the tournament all weekend long.

Follow all of the USPHL Social Media accounts - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok - for updates, interviews and photos from throughout the weekend. The Dan K Show’s Dan Kmiechick and Lucas Jones will be on hand throughout the event for interviews and other fun posts from Friday through Sunday’s championship games.
