Midwest West Division 

Forward: Jared Petty, Rum River Mallards

Petty (‘02/Portland, Ore.) put up a pair of goals and two assists for four points on the weekend, equaling his whole points output of 2020-21. He already has 14 points in nine contests this weekend, showing his veteran leadership. 

Defense: Dante Siciliano, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings

Siciliano (‘05/Witby, Ont.) had both game-winning goals and added two assists for the Riverkings in the weekend sweep of the Mullets. Dante is the Riverkings’ youngest player, but the left shot defenseman is already playing top four minutes. Siciliano was drafted this past summer in the Ontario Hockey League by the Kingston Frontenacs. 

Goaltender: Jacob Snyder, Steele County Blades

The star goalie from Duluth (Minn.) Denfield High went 1-0-1 for the Blades as a junior rookie this past weekend, stopping 65 of 69 shots in two games, not even including the nine saves on 10 shootout shots. Overall, he had a 1.86 goals against average and .942 save percentage. 

Midwest East Division

Forward: Gerdas Paulauskas, Chicago Cougars

Paulauskas (‘04/Lisle, Ill.) tallied three goals and six assists for a grand total of nine points on the weekend. The former Providence Catholic High standout now has 12 points in seven games, more than proving himself at the junior level. 

Defensemen: Jack Parks, Chicago Cougars

The Cougars stand undefeated in regulation through seven games at 5-0-2. Parks ( started his three-game weekend with two big goals against Decatur, joining his defensive partner Andreas Zorn who also had two of the Cougars’ 10 goals that night. Parks has found his stride this season and looks to be a key factor in the Cougars lineup each night.

Goaltender: Freddy Soderberg, Metro Jets Development Program

Soderberg (‘02/Harrison Township, Mich.) has moved up from the Meijer AAA program, and has started out 3-0 for the undefeated MJDP. Most recently, he stopped all 36 shots put on him by the Decatur Blaze, standing for his second shutout in just three starts. 

Great Lakes Division

Forward: Nick Tessier, Pittsburgh Vengeance

Tessier (‘02/Burnsville, Minn.) has nine points in his last three games, with 2-1-3 performances in each of his last pair of games over the Oct. 15-16 weekend to help Pittsburgh sweep Lake Erie. With 11 points in six games, he’s close to doubling up his points per game average, and is well ahead of the pace to break the 38-point total he posted last year.  

Defense: Nikola Murgic, Metro Jets

Murgic (‘04/Windsor, Ont.) has installed himself beautifully in the top pairing of the Jets defense, next to veteran leader Braydin Lewis. Murgic posted four assists this past weekend and is tied with Lewis in overall plus-minus (+17). 

Goaltender: Abi Vrtar, Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones

Vrtar (‘03/Dayton, Ohio) picked up his first career junior shutout by stopping all 23 shots he faced from the Wooster Oilers on Saturday. He now stands at 2-1 with a .935 save percentage in three contests.
