Week of Oct. 27, 2021

Florida Division

Forward: Brody Weitzel, Florida Jr. Blades

The newcomer Weitzel (‘02/Lloydminster, Sask.) was a major part of the Blades’ win this weekend against the Atlanta MadHatters, as the Blades went 1-1. Weitzel scored two goals and two assists, and now stands with 10 points in 11 games. 

 

Defense: Chet Skinner, Tampa Bay Juniors

Skinner (‘02/Edina, Minn.) put up three assists on the weekend against the Palm Beach Typhoon, and he was also a +3 on the weekend. Skinner leads the Juniors in blocked shots (20). 

 

Goaltender: Ryan Goodliffe, Atlanta MadHatters

A second-year Premier goaltender, Goodliffe picked up his first win when the MadHatters defeated the Florida Jr. Blades 3-1. In net, the 2001-born Brewster, N.Y., native made 35 saves on 36 shots. 

 

Southeast Division 

Forward: Callen Daily, Hampton Roads Whalers

Dailey played in his 100th all-time game with the Whalers (including playoffs), and made the best of the occasion this past weekend against Potomac. He scored a pair of goals and two assists as well. He currently has 8-7-15 totals this season and 75 total points with the Whalers over three seasons. 

 

Defense: Tyler Fittro, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 

Fittro (‘01/Cedar Falls, Iowa) hasn’t stopped since Day 1. Fittro posted two goals and one assist in the Jr. Canes’ win against Richmond on Oct. 23. He has 10 points in just six games played this year. 

 

Goaltender: Kenny Vought, Hampton Roads Whalers

Vought (‘01/Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) swept the Potomac Patriots with 32 saves on 34 shots to help the fourth-year USPHL goaltender reach a record of 6-0 so far this season, one of only five Premier goalies with at least six victories.
