Atlantic West Division 

Forward: Parker Bonsignore, Buffalo Stampede

Over the weekend, against the Utica Jr. Comets, the 2005-born native of Newington, Conn., earned three goals and six assists for nine points in just two contests. He had a 2-4-6 line in their first game, an 8-7 loss to the Jr. Comets. That equaled his previous season high of three points, attained three previous times on the season - and also in the game right after the six-point effort. Bonsignore now has 31 points in 26 games. 

 

Defense: Jace Cranston, Buffalo Stampede

Cranston (‘05/Webster, N.Y.) helped the Stampede pick up a point from a shootout loss, in addition to staying right with Utica in an 8-7 loss. Cranston posted a goal and an assist in the 8-7 defeat and an assist in the shootout loss for a three-point weekend. Cranston is a former Connecticut Chiefs 18U teammate of Parker Bonsignore and Stampede goaltender Luke Remenyi. 

 

Goaltender: Tade Carman, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights

Carman was a busy man in net for the Knights this past weekend, as he played in all three games, but only gave up five goals. In a Dec. 17 win against the Hershey Cubs, the 2003-born Cary, N.C., native gave up just two goals on 53 shots. One night later, he gave up just one of 45 shots by the Rockets Hockey Club. The Rockets did give him his only loss of the weekend, but even there, he still made 28 saves on 30 shots. 

 

Atlantic East Division 

Forward: Tucker Forte, Rockets Hockey Club

Forte (‘01/Doylestown, Pa.) posted a goal and two assists when the Rockets defeated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights in a showdown of divisional leaders. The recent Worcester State University commit, who has seen two games this year with the Rockets’ NCDC team, now has 22 points in 22 games this season and 49 points in 63 career regular season games. 

 

Defense: Douglas Alex, New York Aviators

Alex (‘01/Sweden) played in a pair of games for the Aviators against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers, coming up with a pair of assists and he was a +2 on the weekend. For the season, Alex has 14 points in 18 games, and he is a +5 overall. 

 

Goaltender: Levi Preugschas, New York Aviators

Preugschas (‘03/Buffalo, Minn.) picked up two shutouts over the Connecticut Jr. Rangers, with 25 saves in one and 16 stops in the other for 41 saves total on the weekend. He has a .917 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average. 

 

New England Division 

Forward: Tyson Springer, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs 

The fourth-year Premier veteran Springer (‘02/East Palestine, Ohio) had himself quite the day in a 6-2 win over the Islanders Hockey Club, posting one goal and four assists in the outing for a five-point day. Springer now has 31 points in 21 games. 

 

Defense: Andrew Nieusma, Northern Cyclones

Second-year Cyclone Nieusma (‘01/Superior, Colo.) posted two goals and one assist in two wins, over which the Cyclones gave up just one goal. Nieusma has 26 points in 23 games this season and 57 points in 61 games. 

 

Goaltender: Nick DiGiacomo, Springfield Pics

Returning to the net after almost a month, DiGiacomo (‘01/North Attleborough, Mass.) stopped 45 of 47 shots in a 4-2 win over the Bridgewater Bandits on Dec. 17. DiGiacomo is 4-3-0-0 with a .911 save percentage and 2.88 GAA.
