The Pueblo Bulls are excited to announce 2001-born Bulls Goaltender, Artem Lantukh, has committed to play for University of Central Oklahoma ACHA Division I.
The Moskva, Russia, native kept the Bulls string of Elite goalies going, showing outstanding athleticism and skill. Artem made highlight saves every week and was the backbone of many Bulls wins this past season.
Artem will join Bulls alumni Ondrej Blaha, Doug Wakelyn and Dane Whittet at UCO, who were the ACHA Division I National Runner-up last season.
“Artem was a true professional in every sense of the word,” said Bulls Head Coach Chris Wilhite. “He was someone we were very excited about signing during the summer and he completely blew our expectations out of the water. He had a tremendous attitude every day, always wanted to get better and was arguably one of our most athletic goalies in Bulls history. UCO is getting a steal in Artem.”
“I am so grateful that I got to spend my last year of Juniors with the Pueblo Bulls. The organization strives to bring only the best for its players. The coaches are some of the most passionate people I’ve ever met. They bring a very professional approach not only towards the players but also towards the whole city of Pueblo by organizing various community service events and promoting hockey in town. With the great modern facilities, the Bulls staff will always make sure that you are well prepared for the upcoming weekend and that any recovery procedure needed, will be done accordingly.” said Lantukh.
"The Bulls can certainly be proud of what they have achieved in terms of the player advancement as well - the coaches will do everything what’s in their power to make sure that a player will get to the highest level possible.
"The billet families here in Pueblo make you question yourself whether you actually want to leave this place, simply because they take you in as a true member of the family. And of course, the whole Pueblo community makes an amazing fan base which can surely compete with various professional ice hockey teams. Once again, I am thankful to the Pueblo Bulls for making my last year of Juniors such an amazing experience and I can officially call Pueblo my second home.”
“We thank Artem for his time as a Bull and for being a huge piece in the Pueblo community. We can’t wait to see what’s next for him at UCO and in the future. He will go down as one of the best to come through Pueblo, both as a player and person,” added Wilhite.
