The PAL Junior Islanders would like to welcome Mike Schwartz to the coaching staff for the 2015-16 season. Schwartz will be joining Dan Marshall and Mark Dubeau behind the bench as an assistant coach for the USPHL Premier Junior Islanders club.

Schwartz's Nichols College Bison, with which he served as Captain this past season, recently closed out their second straight ECAC Northeast Division Championship. In 2015 Schwartz was given the Integrity and Leadership Award for all athletes at Nichols College, and was twice named the Unsung Hero of Nichols Hockey. Schwartz also was named to the ECAC All-Academic Team the last three seasons.

Mike Schwartz played three years of junior hockey between the AtJHL and MetJHL, and was a two-year Captain for the Long Beach Marines. After three seasons of junior hockey and over 100 games of NCAA hockey, his experience at the junior and collegiate level is invaluable.

"We all feel that Mike's leadership qualities and experience make him a great fit in the organization," said General Manager Ron Kinnear, "We're happy to have him on board and look forward to seeing what he can bring to the table."

Welcome to the PAL Junior Islanders Hockey Club, Mike Schwartz!
