More USPHL Players Selected at NHL Entry Draft

Sunrise, FL- The US Premier Hockey League is proud to announce the selections of Jack Eichel (Junior Bruins), Roope Hintz (Tampa Bay Juniors), Conor Garland (Junior Bruins), and John Marino (South Shore Kings) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in Sunrise, FL.
 
 
Eichel was chosen second overall by the Buffalo Sabres after an exceptional season with Boston University, which saw him lead the nation in scoring and collect the Hobey Baker Award.
 
Roope Hintz was called to the stage by the Dallas Stars with the 49th pick. The Tampere, Finland native played 20 games for the Tampa Bay Juniors Empire team back in the 2012-13 season, scoring 20 goals and adding 15 assists (35 points). This past season, he played for Ilves in Finland’s Liiga as well as for team 
Finland in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships.
 
Garland, who played for the Bruins’ Empire team in the 2011-12 season, went 123rd to the Arizona Coyotes after a season in which he was named Most Valuable Player of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
 
Marino, a standout defenseman from the South Shore Kings, was the 154th pick when the Edmonton Oilers selected him in the sixth round. He is slated to attend Harvard University in 2016.
