Syracuse Stars' Joe Scorpio Makes NCAA Commitment

The Syracuse Stars are pleased to announce player commitment for 2016-2017 season.
Joe Scorpio (1995)  leads the Syracuse Stars Premier team with 27 points in 27 games. The Elmwood Park, IL native is in his first season with the Stars. Sitting in the top 20 in the USPHL in scoring, Scorpio has proven to be an impact player.


The Stars are pleased to announce Joe Scorpio’s commitment to Oswego State for the 2016-2017 season. “Joe has led our offense throughout the first half of the season. Its always great to see a fast, hard working player be rewarded for his efforts. In speaking with the coaching staff at Oswego, Joe will fill an important role in their storied program,” commented Stars’ Head Coach, Paul Kelly.


The USPHL is one of the largest amateur hockey leagues. Over the past two years, the USPHL has seen over 400 of its players advance to the collegiate level.
