The Philadelphia Flyers USPHL Premier Hockey Club is proud to announce that goaltender Matt Beck has committed to attend and play hockey for the University of Vermont, starting in the fall of 2017.

Beck was 5-4 last season with the Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey team, with a 3.29 goals against average along with a .899 save percentage. Beck also had a shutout against the Syracuse Stars on January 16.

“We are extremely proud of Matt and his decision to attend the University of Vermont in 2017,” said Head Coach Jared Beach.  “Matt is a very dedicated goalie who constantly works to improve his game. After a good rookie season with us where he competed hard day in and day out, I think Matt is poised to be a top goalie in our league this fall.”

Matt will return to play for the Philadelphia Flyers this fall for the 2016-2017 season, which will begin in September. Congratulations to Matt!
