Syosset, NY- The PAL Jr. Islanders are proud to announce the commitment of goaltender Justin Ketola to the American International College for the fall of 2016. The American International College Yellow Jackets compete in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey Conference.

The Esko, MN, joined the PAL Jr. Islanders early in the 2014-15 season after starting the year with the NAHL’s Brookings Blizzard. In 18 appearances, he posted a 2.44 goals against average and led the Premier Division with a .939 save percentage, earning Goaltender of the Year honors.

Ketola, who previously played in the Omaha AAA organization, is excited to move on to the next chapter of his life.

"It's been a grind, but I'm excited to start my college hockey career. I can't thank coaches Marshall and Galiani enough for everything they've done for me since I've been on Long Island."

Ketola returned to PAL this season and continued his strong play, making an appearance in the USPHL All-Star Game and posting a .917 save percentage in 33 games.

Ketola is one of five players on the PAL Premier roster with an NCAA Division I commitment and will join teammate Billy Vizzo on the Yellow Jackets next season.
