16U Futures Showcase Puts High Flying Talent on Display in Connecticut

Northford, CT- The Connecticut Jr. Rangers 16U Futures Showcase opened the 2016-14 USPHL season last weekend and set the tone for what should be an action-packed eight months of hockey.
The Jersey Hitmen, who fell in overtime in last-season’s final, made a strong statement with wins over the New York Aviators, Potomac Patriots, Connecticut Jr. Rangers, and Springfield Pics.
Similarly, their cross-state rivals, the Jersey Shore Whalers, picked up wins over the Rangers, Aviators, Pics, PAL Jr. Islanders.
PAL led off the weekend with a 3-2 win over Springfield on Saturday morning.
The Rangers ended the weekend on a high note, defeating PAL on Sunday and the Potomac Patriots on Monday morning.
Potomac picked up three valuable points on Sunday, starting off the day with a win over PAL and a tie against the Aviators, who also defeated Springfield on Saturday.
