By Racers Staff, 01/07/17, 12:30PM EST

It was a tough first half for the Racers with several injuries to key players early in the season.
First year head coach Ed Fritz has a lot to be excited about in the New Year.  The Daytona Racers are gearing up for a late season run.  With newly acquired free agent Nick Nakagawa and the return of Defenseman Matt Ernst from a lower body injury and veteran leader forward Mark Hampton from a upper body injury the Racers are looking forward to late season success.
“This Trio adds needed depth to our core group.”  Said GM Kravetz “ We are excited to see what our team looks like with everyone healthy for the first time this season”  The Racers square off against Potomac Patriots in the first game of the showcase.
