Derco on playing for the Generals ," Playing for the Generals has been a great expierence for me. The Generals organization really cares about the development of their players both on and off the ice. I have learned many valuable things about hockey and more importantly life lessons that I will take with me wherever I go. I cant thank the coaching staff enoiugh for what they have done for me in my time with the program. It was truly a pleasure being part of the Generals family and will be something I will never forget ."

Coach Lyke on Derco," James is one of the hardest working players on the ice at any time. Although smaller in size his compete level, toughness, and heart is some of the biggest I have seen. James excels in the tough areas of the ice in the corners ,around the walls, and in front of net. He is extremely strong , physical, and tough to play against . He has a solid skill set with good speed and is always involved physically in games .One of his best features is his character ,he is a natural leader , and is just a great kid to work with both on and off the ice. James had numerous NCAA Division 3 and ACHA Division 1 Offers but felt the school, hockey program , and most importantly education at IUP suited him best. I know he will do well for the Crimson Hawks on the ice next season and wish him the best of luck as he takes his next step in his hockey journey. "
