Good Things Come in Pairs: The Eels are elated to announce the signings of the Swygert brothers from South Carolina. Jaymen Jaymen Swygert is a 1998 experienced defensemen who played juniors last season and his younger brother a 2000 forward Cade Swygert have joined the Eels this season.

Jaymen is 6’2” 185 pounds. He is a strong hard nose mobile defensemen who is a consummate warrior in his own zone. He will outwork opposing forwards in front of his net – denying opposition the landscape. That is his house and you will not take it. He has very good vision and is mobile. He has a Good heavy shot on the blueline. He is looking to hone in his skills and ripen into a top player, as his mission is to play NCAA college hockey. We have had the pleasure to have Jaymen on our Sr Chowder Cup team and saw immediately his character and maturity. We are very excited that he will be joining us in the Fall.

His younger brother Cade is 5’11’” 175 pounds and has impressed the Eels with his ability to score and his nice swift and clever playmaking. Cade has quick feet and explosive speed and drives hard to the net. We love his positive attitude and determination.

We can see that both brothers understand the commitment necessary to advance to the “Next Level” They have bought into what the Eels are all about. Training training and training. Outwork the opponents. Never quit. Always exude confidence and maintain respect. They already developed the camaraderie amongst several of the Eels players and we are looking forward to their arrival.
