NCDC P.A.L. Junior Islanders Sweep Cyclones; Win Four in a Row

The PAL Jr. Islanders NCDC team swept the Northern Cyclones this weekend in UPSHL action at the Iceworks in Syosset, NY. The Jr. Islanders have now won four in a row and are currently sitting in a playoff spot.

On Saturday, PAL scored in overtime to defeat Northern, 3-2. Michael Perrone played hero, scoring just 53 seconds into the extra session. Netminder Cayden Bailey was splendid, stopping 30 of 32 shots that came is way.

On Sunday, the Jr. Islanders were able to hold off the late comeback push from the Cyclones and grab the 5-3 victory. Sky Silverstein, Markus Christensson and Adam Bricker each had two points. Bailey picked up another win making 38 saves.

The Jr. Islanders return to action Wednesday, the 7th as they take on the Connecticut Jr. Rangers at 7:30pm at Northwell heathy Ice Center. You can catch the action live on HockeyTv.com!
