ESTERO, FL- On Friday, the Florida Jr. Blades participated in a truly unforgettable evening, the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine. The annual celebration brings together children and adults with special needs and volunteers around the world to host a prom.
“This was such an incredible night and phenomenal experience! All of the volunteers did an amazing job putting this together,” said head coach Todd Pococke. “We are honored to be part of an event for such a great cause!”
This year, the Tim Tebow Foundation saw more than 540 churches around the world host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 honored guests with the support of over 175,000 volunteers.
“What a great event. We are honored to have been invited, and truly enjoyed our time!” said assistant coach Tyler Carlston. “All of the volunteers involved did a great job putting on a very elaborate night that I’m sure created lifelong memories for everyone who was able to attend.”
Every guest at the event needs a buddy, and the Jr. Blades were honored to step into that role. Each Jr. Blades teammate was paired up with a guest and accompanied them throughout the evening that included a red carpet, dinner and dancing.
The Florida Jr. Blades attended Night to Shine hosted at New Hope Ministries church in Naples.
